Years ago I briefly met someone who had converted their upright freezer into a chest freezer. If I remember correctly they repositioned the compressor and its various components and into a small ventilated fan on the bottom which was not the side of the freezer. Searching on Google for tips of this conversion has rendered very little.

I’d like to know what needs to be done in order to convert an upright freezer into a chest freezer and what possible problems I’d have in the process. A high level scenario view is all I’m asking for but feel free to be as specific as you’d like. Thank you in advance. Rick
